My very own interwebz site?

I have officially entered the blogosphere and have my very own piece of cyber real estate! Thanks so much for checking it out! Now that I have this, I will do my absolute best to keep you updated on what’s going on.

Right now, I’m on my way to Toronto, Canada, but I’ve been working on building this site for about a week trying to make it look and feel right. And what better way to launch the site than from the road?

At the moment, I’m working on two big projects. The first is an article about crowdfunding and how it relates to musicians. If you haven’t heard about crowdfunding yet, I’m sure you will soon. Check out Kickstarter or IndieGoGo and have a look at some of the projects they have up there.

When I started, I thought the article would be around two or three pages, but the more I looked into it, the more useful information I found. Right now it’s looking more like a long-form guide about the whole crowdfunding process and how to take advantage of it. I’ve been interviewing old friends and new who have done great things with crowdfunding and I’ve made it my mission to collect all of that information and make it available to anyone who is interested.

I’ve decided to release it in ‘sections’ or ‘chapters’ just to make it more digestible and I will start rolling the parts out on a weekly basis as soon as I have it all finished. I’ll be releasing this first chapter next Wednesday, July 18 and will be releasing chapters every Wednesday for a good little while. Stay tuned!

The 2nd big project is still in the works and will be happening sometime in mid-August. That’s all I will say for now, but I can promise you that there will be new, original music involved.

Once again, thank you all for checking out the new site! I’ll do my best to keep it interesting and up to date for you.

Cheers,

Luke
