Live Album Recording

Hey guys, I have big news. The ’2nd big project’ that I talked about in the very first post I made on the site is happening right now.

It’s my absolute pleasure to announce that I will be recording a live album on Monday, September 10th at the historic Rudyard Kipling in Louisville, Kentucky. I’ve wined and dined some great musicians and somehow managed to convince them to be a part of it, and I’m really excited that they are as enthusiastic as I am about it. The band (in order of height) is

And I will be playing bass.

It’s going to be the first time I lead a group under my own name, playing my own compositions, and to be honest, it kinda scares the shit out of me. There are so many things I just hadn’t thought of that are going through my head as the day gets closer. I had originally planned to do this around March or April of this year, but some things happened in January that stopped me from getting everything together (but that is definitely another post for another time).

I’ve been posting pretty hard on Facebook, which is something I don’t normally do, but I’m trying to pack the Rud. So if you are in the Louisville area, I would love to see your face down on the 10th. And because I’m trying my best to get as many people out to the show as I can so there is no cover.

But not only is it free to come, but everyone who comes to see the recording will get a free digital download of the album. It’s like you’re being paid to go see music with your friends! (Oh yeah…bring your friends!) What could be better?

I’ve got a few promotional things in the works, so check back every once in a while or see what I’m doing over on Facebook. I’m very excited about the recording and releasing the music to anyone who will listen.

Thanks for reading,

P.S. Don’t quote me on the heights, I could be way off.
